A new adventure. Les go to the Olympic Games!

Over the last ten years Pirenaica has grown and developed. We've enjoyed great occasions, made loads of friends and been to amazing places. We want our 10th anniversary to be really special so we've designed a great route that links up Madrid, Paris and London. What's more, in 2012 London will host the Olympics, an event that Madrid and Paris both bid for. 2012 is also the 20th anniversary of the Barcelona 92 Olympics and the 100th anniversary of the Spanish Olympic Committee. And Madrid also hopes to host the 2020 Olympics.

In short, the Madrid-Paris-London ride will be a unique and unrepeatable event because these circumstances only concur in 2012.

So here in Pirenaica we want to celebrate our anniversary by linking up three cities: the two runners-up and the winner. We want to be the connection between them, we want sport and sportsmanship to bring these three capital cities together. In the words of the Olympic slogan: "what matters is to take part". That's how the cities did it and that's how we'll do it. True to our philosophy (“We do sport with others, not against others. We will excel ourselves and savour every kilometre”), we plan to cover the route of almost 1700 kms in 9 stages. A great sporting challenge, an opportunity to better oneself. All day long we will enjoy nature, non-competitive sport and good company.

.- In addition to these 2 Pirenaica people doing the entire route, cyclists from the different areas we ride through will be invited to ride with us for a few kilometres.

The envisaged dates are April 6th to 14th.
